Any time you are injured on someone else’s property, provided you were on that property legally, you may have a valid premises liability case. The most common type of premises liability case you have heard of would be a slip-and-fall or trip-and-fall case. But, they’re far from being the only type of premises liability case. Other types you might encounter include:
- Swimming pool accidents resulting from a lack of adult supervision or gates
- Inadequate security, which may include a lack of appropriate lighting or presence of security cameras
- Sexual assault that occurs in the workplace or other places where people congregate (malls, hotels, or strip malls) as a result of inadequate security
- Improperly installed products or equipment, such as circuit breakers in an apartment building
- Construction or work site accidents resulting from employer carelessness or negligence
